Project Completion: Stanley, Black & Decker

Stanley Black & Decker LogoAs mentioned in my last Project Completion post, I’m going to post these now, so that my family and friends, and whomever else cares to know, can get a glimpse at what I do day in and day out at work.  It’s the best I can do anyways.  Trying to explain what I do would just put people to sleep, so I’ll just stick with the finished product.

www.SBDShop.ca is an online store built for Stanley, Black & Decker.  They are the parent company that owns the following brands:

  • Stanley
  • Black & Decker
  • DeWALT
  • FatMax
  • FatMax Xtreme
  • Bostitch
  • Porter Cable
  • Emglo

This site will be bilingual shortly (just waiting on some translations), it integrates directly with the suppliers retail system, and incorporates a full workflow backend for the orders (credit card processing, approvals, warehouse inventory management, reporting, etc.).  In short, it’s pretty cool.  So, check it out if you like, let me know what you think.

Who Are We?

Our Family

Welcome to our blog.  My name is James Meyer, and my wife and I blog about our attempts to apply neo-conservative christian theology to practical daily life.  We are both 31 years old, we've been married we were 20, and our marriage improves daily.  We have 4 kids, 5 years old and under.  We're heavily involved in church life.  I own my own business, but am contracted full time as a software engineer, so I experience an odd mix of self-employed and corporate life. Christina is a stay at home mom, and that is a full time job in and of itself.

This blog is our journey in continuous self improvement and our constant attempt to walk with God daily and follow His will in our lives.

If you have any questions about our experiences, thoughts, or want to contact us for any reason, you can email me at apprentice.of.solomon@gmail.com, or Christina at mum2.1babygirl@gmail.com, or on any of the following networks:
